Grilled Pizza

yummy Pizza, enjoy grilling with a unique way to use your grill this weekend, try Grilled Pizza. It’s easy and wonderful.


Ingredients
  • Pizza dough and stretched and shaped into a roundish shape
  • Pizza sauce
  • Cheese
  • Toppings - Add whatever you want, choose from the tasty combination ideas below
Preparation
  • Pre-heat your grill, then clean it well. Oil the grill with Olive oil. (Wipe down the grill using a wadded up paper towel saturated with Olive Oil)
  • If you’re using a gas grill, once it’s hot, turn the flame down to low. With a charcoal grill, spread your charcoal out thinly to cool things down.
  • Lightly oil the top side of the dough
  • Place dough, oiled side down, on grill. Cover. Cook until top of dough is raised and puffed and bottom is just crisp, about 3 minutes
  • Lightly oil the dough so it doesn’t stick when you flip it over.
  • Using tongs, flip the dough over so the crisped side is up.
  • Quickly add your pizza sauce, cheese (not too much or it won’t melt) and toppings.
  • Cover
  • Grill until cheese is melted and dough is browned and cooked through, about 3 minutes. Check the underside often to see that it is not burning
  • Remove and serve
Delicious & tasty topping combination's:
  • Fresh mozzarella, basil, sun-dried tomato and fresh tomato
  • Roasted Veggies - eggplant, artichoke hearts, fennel, bell peppers, portabella mushrooms, red onions
  • Pesto, portabello mushrooms, pine nuts and fontina
  • Prosciutto, goat cheese, plum, and arugula.
