Philippines is really blessed with lots of coconut trees so it is easy for us to prepare this recipe. If buko is available in your area, you may also prepare bukayo since the other ingredients for this recipe are available in the supermarket nearest you.
Ingredients:
Shredded young coconut meat
Muscovado (can be replaced with brown sugar)
Evaporated milk
Now, follow these instructions to prepare your bukayo dessert:
1) Mix the evaporated milk and muscovado or brown sugar in a suace pan.
2) Constantly stir the mixture while it boils and wait until it thickens.
3) Add the shredded cocount once the mixture thickened.
4) Remove from heat and let it cool for a bit.
5) Form small lumps of bukayo then refrigerate for a few minutes until it cools.
You may serve your bukayo in a platter. Enjoy your dessert!
