A VALENTINE DAY RECIPE
YOU  ARE  MY SPECIAL VALENTINE
On Love and affection between intimate companions
celebrated on feb 14th
Red roses, as we think of them today, are the traditional
symbol for love and romance
The most common modern form of the poem is:
Roses are red,
Violets are blue,
Sugar is sweet,
And so are you

ORIGINS- The origins of the poem may be traced at least as far
back as to the following lines written in 1590 by Sir Edmund Spenser
from his epcic THE FAERIE QUEEN
It was upon a Sommers shynie day,
When Titan faire his beames did display,
In a fresh fountaine, farre from all mens vew,
She bath'd her brest, the boyling heat t'allay;
She bath'd with roses red, and violets blew,
And all the sweetest flowers, that in the forrest grew

I USE HAAGEN DAZS SORBET
RECIPE
VALENTINE SORBET IN CANTALOUPE

1 scoop raspberry sorbet
1 scoop lemon sorbet
Half small size cantaloupe - seeded and refrigerate for a few hours
Juice from 1 orange
A pinch of salt

If you like rosebuds, put a few red ones on top of sorbet

Mix orange juice with salt and drizzle inside cantaloupe
Put sorbet scoops on top.
Serve immediately.
