INGREDIENTS
- 1 c. uncooked noodles
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1/2 lb. mushrooms
- 1 c. chopped onion
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce (low sodium)
- 3/4 c. water
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 tsp. oregano
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
INSTRUCTIONS
Cook noodles according to directions on package without salt. Drain. Cook ground beef with garlic, onion and mushrooms until browned; drain off excess fat. Add remaining ingredients to ground beef mixture and simmer slowly for 15 minutes. Add cooked noodles and simmer about 5 minutes. Remove bay leaf before serving. ..and this beef goulash recipe makes 6 servings.
