Blueberry Sunrise Yogurt Smoothie

This is one of my favorite blueberry smoothies because it taste just like those tiny, overpriced dannon yogurt smoothies. I'm normally not a huge fan of blueberries unless it's part of a sweet, hot muffin. I started adding blueberries to my diet after that Dr. on Oprah (Dr. Oz I think) went on about how healthy they are and all the things they cure and prevent and then he said the magic words " they can give your eyes a radiant, well rested appearance" BINGO!! What girl doesn't want sparkly, youthful eyes right!? I always feel good after drinking this smoothie and I make it atleast 3 times a week. It's quick, simple, refreshing and it's a pretty color purple too boot!!

Blueberry Sunrise Yogurt Smoothie

Ingredients

  • 2/3 c. blueberries
  • 1/2 c. vanilla yogurt
  • 1/2 c. cold fruit juice

Step 1: Add 2/3 cups of blueberries to the blender. I like frozen blueberries better but fresh will do just fine.

Step 2: Add in 1/2 cup of vanilla yogurt

Step 3: Add 1/2 cup of cold fruit juice. Any kind will do. I'm using passion fruit but normally I like to use cherry pomegranite or banana strawberry.

Note* You can also add in half a banana or some vitamin powder. I sometimes powerpack this smoothie with my vitamin powder, wheat germ and some extra light olive oil. I find it's the only way I'll get it in otherwise is by tricking myself.

Step 4: Blend until it's the consistancy you like. I prefer my smoothies completely smooth with no lumps so I usually turn it on and go do my morning facial or brush my teeth. If you like a thicker smoothie just blend until it's incorporated well.

Now just pour into a glass and drink! I sometimes put mine in the freezer just because I like it to be REAL cold. Yeah I'm kinda picky :)

Now go have a productive morning!!!!
