..a nice fresh green bean recipe to try !
INGREDIENTS
- 1 1/2 lbs. very fresh green beans, stems and strings removed
- 2 c. milk, hot but not scalded
- Salt and fresh black pepper to taste
- Optional--small amounts of minced fresh basil and chives
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Steam the beans until just tender and bright green.
2. Puree them with the milk until very smooth.
3. Season to taste. Heat just before serving. Don't boil or cook it or serve it cold.
