Easy Homemade Pizza

I love homemade pizza dough.  However, with a busy schedule, who has time to wait around for dough to rise??  Not this girl!  I have found the next best thing to sliced bread-Fleischmann's Pizza Crust Yeast.  These packets of yeast tell you exactly how to make the dough.  It couldn't be easier!!  I use unbleached all purpose flour, olive oil, water, sugar and salt.  The dough is ready in a matter of minutes.  Below are some of my favorite pizza toppings and the yeast(make sure you get the pizza yeast not the regular).

I am a big fan of the new hormel uncured, all natural pepperoni.  There are no nitrites or preservatives.  I also love gourmet mozzarella.  Pizza toppings are a personal preference and often times I make a half and half pizza.  Tonight we had half grilled chicken pesto and half pepperoni.  That makes everyone in this family happy!

This is my favorite homemade pizza sauce recipe from cdkitchen:
Ingredients:
1/2 onion, minced
1 clove garlic, finely minced
2 tbsp olive oil
1 16 oz can tomato sauce
1 8oz can tomato paste
2 tsp sugar(or whey low)
1 tsp fresh basil
1 tsp oregano(fresh or freeze dried)
1/2 tsp sea salt.
Saute minced onion and garlic in olive oil until tender.  Add the rest of the ingredients in the skillet and simmer for 15-20 minutes.  Makes enough sauce for 2-3 pizzas.  Bon Appetit!
