Sometimes when it is cold and windy outside & I am at home with my 4 year old son, we love to bake, I have my own little helper & when it comes to cooking he really excels. Stirring, kneading, rolling, patting, whisking, he has it all down to a fine art. Some days though, after he has helped me with the washing, hoovering, emptying the dishwasher, and feeding the dog, we want nothing more than on a cold rainy day like today to curl up on the sofa with a pile of books & spend hours reading stories.
Today is one of those days & so we decided that for dinner we would have a little cheat, off to Marks & Spencer's we popped & with my very strong son holding the basket we picked out some cheat dinner for tonight along with his choice of pudding for him and his sister, 2 chocolate fresh cream eclairs. Now with me being on a diet, it is not the kind of thing I usually have in the fridge, and every time I go in the kitchen I am sure that I can hear them calling to me. Roll on 3pm so I can go and pick up my 5 year old daughter from school & they can have dinner & the eclairs and their taunting will be gone & bothering me no more!
