I know it is surprising to read a recipe about veg. lollipop. Because normally we are use to have sweet lollipop. But here it's a homemade recipe for healthy and spicy vegetable lollipop. This homemade recipe contains lots of vegetables and paneer. So,it is full of vitamins and calcium.


Preparation time - 15 minutes
Cooking time - 15 minutes
Serves - 4 person


Ingredients to make Veg. Lollipop: 


250 grams boiled and mashed potatoes
1 onion finely chopped
1/4 cup boiled green peas
1small capsicum finely chopped
1 small carrot finely chopped
1/4 cup boiled sweet corn
1/4 cup chopped coriander leaves
4 to 5 finely chopped green chilies
1 1/2 tea spoon red chili powder
1 tea spoon dry mango powder
250 grams paneer- cottage cheese grated
1/2 to 3/4 cup dry bread crumbs
12 to 15 par boiled baby corns
Salt to taste
1 cup gram flour
Oil for frying


To Serve with:


Tomato ketch up


Method to make Veg. Lollipop:

  • Mix mashed potatoes and grated paneer in a big bowl, now add all vegetables and spices to it. Mix well.
  • Make thick batter from gram flour. Add salt and red chili powder to it.
  • Make medium size balls from the mixture and insert baby corn in it. Repeat the same for remaining.
  • Dip lollies in the gram flour mixture and roll in dry bread crumbs.
  • Heat oil in a pan and dip fry lollies in it. Fry till golden brown.
  • When done remove from oil and drain over absorbent tissue.
  • Hot and healthy Veg. Lollipops are ready to serve. Serve them with tomato ketch up. 
Tips for veg. Lollipop:
  • In stead of baby corns tooth picks or ice cream sticks can be taken.
  • In that case cover sticks with aluminium foil.
  • vegetables can be added or omitted as per the choice.
  • In stead of dip frying shallow frying or grilling can be done.
