Seafood Skewers. My lunch today.

Oh boy! I just had to twitt about the lunch I just had!!!! Done in no time and so delicious :D. Is it true that an image is worth more than a thousand words?
What do you think? Some days ago I saw something at Val's blog that caught my attention: BloggerAid Changing the Face of Famine ... and I thought it would be great to be there too and give Giz and Val a hand with their fantastic project!!! So why don't you join? There's still time until May 31st! All you have to do is follow the previous link and there you will find all information to participate in the event. It's as easy as giving one of your food pictures to Lisa Orgler and let her make the picture become a drawing! It's part of her Lunchbox Project. She will choose one among all the pictures she collects and it will be set for Auction!!! Aren't you curious about it? Go check!
Ingredients for 4 servings: 2 fresh and ripe Pineapples, a box of cherry tomatoes, 2 green peppers, 2 fresh cuttle fish (you can use squid too), 16 fresh red shrimps, olive oil (2 kinds: to cook --> 0,4ÂșC and to dress extra virgin), maldon salt, black ground pepper.

  • Get your sticks in water so that they don't get burned.
  • Ask your fishmonger to clean and cut in squares your cuttlefish. Once home clean under tap water and reserve.
  • Peel the shrimps and reserve.
  • Peel a piece of the pineapple and make dices out of it.
  • Cut 4 slices of pineapple to get the sticks in it.
  • Clean and cut the pepper and the cherry tomatoes.
  • Prepare the skewers and grill them or BBQ or cook them at the upper rack of the oven. I did them "a la plancha" with some olive oil. Keep on turning them and when they are ready add a bit of extra virgin olive oil on top, the maldon salt and black ground pepper.

Enjoy!!!

C'mon participate in Art Auction with a Twist! It's free! It will make you feel good! It needs nearly no effort! Maybe your photo is the chosen one! :D :D :D
